long story short

I grew up in the warm and colorful lands of Brazil, in Belo Horizonte (not by the beach I'm afraid) where I spent my childhood and teenage years being a good nerdy girl, observing and drawing the people around me and struggling to fit in for the most part. Things got better as a young adult and I found my tribe at UEMG's Graphic Design bachelor program, where I studied for 4 years. I graduated in 2011 and ended up moving to São Paulo, where I worked designing keynote presentations for a year and a half (I know it sounds a bit lame but I actually learned tremendously valuable design and storytelling lessons then).

After many slides, I decided it was time to give my motion fling a proper chance, so I packed my stuff and moved to Stockholm in 2013 to study motion graphics at Hyper Island. Apparently moving to glacial Sweden wasn't enough of a stretch in my comfort zone, so I ended up moving to London straight after, thirsty for more knowledge and milky tea. After lots of great learnings through different internships I've started freelancing in 2015 and since then I've been incredibly lucky to have worked with some of people I admire the most in this industry - and to have found wonderful friends amongst them too :)

I also ended up moving back to Stockholm - flats in London are overpriced and moldy.

CURRENTLY

- Living in Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Stockholm, London, Stockholm.
- Freelancing as an animation director, designer, animator and illustrator.

ON THE SIDE

- I co-founded an online community for women, trans and non-binary people working with animation and motion called Panimation.
- Teaching an online class at Skillshare.
- Teaching and working as a course leader at Hyper Island and Berghs.
